SECOND OFFICER

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Second Officer, you will be part of a team of 9-11 crew members. You are capable of independently performing navigational watchkeeping duties on the bridge, assisting in safe navigation, and participating in hands-on operations on deck.

With a wide variety of projects and sailing areas, each trip offers a unique experience. You are preferably experienced—or eager to learn— navigation, voyage planning, and towing. Your responsibilities will include watchkeeping, ensuring safety equipment is maintained to Seacontractors’ standards, and supporting the Chief Officer and Master. Work is carried out worldwide.

• Hands-on mentality
• Good communication and administrative skills
• Fluently command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing

IN POSSESSION OF 

• Valid Dutch CoC "Officer in charge of a navigational watch II/1" 
• Valid seaman's book, STCW documents including medical health certificate
• Valid passport >6 months
